Click This year, during Xmas week(end), my sister and her husband flew in from Dallas, Texas, on Thursday night around 10:30. We spent the rest of the night catching up and sleeping, lol 'cause they were exhausted. Friday evening we all went to Church together, it was great, but something about it put me to sleep... LOL... Christmas Eve the rest of our family came over (i.e. grandparents, aunt, uncle cousins nephew/niece, stepbrother). We opened up a few bottles of wine and chardonnay and ate Christmas Eve dinner. we sat down to eat, and immediately my nephew, Trey, says he doesnt want to eat most of the good food. So, my little sister, Anna, and I figured out how to get the little boy (Trey) to eat his dinner, by mixing the foods he didn't like with some of the food he does like so that he can't taste what he don't like. Every year, on Christmas Eve, my family does both a white elephant gift exchange AND secret santa. So, after dinner we gathered around the living room and started the white elephant. Once that was over, I brought everybody into my room so I could give my grandma her Xmas gift, which was me playing my latest song on guitar. We began the secret santa exchange when we started passing around all the rest of the gifts. It's funny though, because I still don't know who drew my name for secret santa. But anyway, it was quite a good time. My favorite moment was giving my baby nephew, James, his very first Detroit Lions hat. Christmas morning finally arrived. This was the first Christmas since my older sister, Jessi, got married, and the first Christmas where she and I both woke up with aching bones, sore throats, and coughing… UGH!! But mine did not last long. Mom, Dad, Anna, Jessi (sisters), Brandon (Jessi's husband), and I gathered around the Christmas tree and took turns being "Santa" hot potato style… I started off by giving Anna a gift from me, which was a Harley Quinn t shirt. I don't remember the exact order we went in, so just bare with me here… I'm just gonna share what all I got for everybody… I handed a wrapped box to Brandon and Jessi. They unwrapped the box, to find that I had marked up the box with the word FRAGILE written in black sharpie. They busted open the box to find two coffee mugs with our favorite baseball team logo on it, the Texas Rangers. Next was my mom, who I got a blue t shirt that says "Smile More" on the front. Finally, I got my dad the movie "THE ITALIAN JOB". I'm not going to list off every little thing that I got, or this would go on and on forever… Plus I don't think anyone really cares that much… I wouldn't if I was the one reading this.. No. I'm just gonna keep this short and simple and just list off some of my favorites. #1. Playstation 4 with the games, Call of Duty Black Ops 3, and Uncharted 4, both of which I've already beaten, Black ops 3, I've beaten once, Uncharted 4, I've beaten twice. #2 TV/video game chair feat. surround sound with bluetooth abilities. #3. 2016 Metallica album #4. Deadpool blue ray dvd. Monday mourning I woke up with my foot in pain. I tried walking but I couldn't… I could still move it and stand on it, so it wasn't broken. I had sprained it. I couldn't figure out how I did it. I knew it'd happened in my sleep. But it wasn't till I returned to work on Wednesday, that I figured out what had happened. Apparently, I somehow managed to kick my bedpost really hard in my sleep. I couldn't walk normally at all until that Friday. Finally, Tuesday after Xmas, My dad, Brandon, Anna and I went to Best Buy and got me a new 40 inch TV to go with my new PS4, and my new TV chair. We got home, and we were all getting ready to go to the Coyotes vs Stars hockey game, when I realized that the arena would not allow me to bring my crutches in with me. And I could not limp on my foot for that amount of time. So, unfortunately, I had to cancel and stay behind. Luckily, I was able to give my ticket to one of Anna's friends that wanted to go. And i just watched the game on TV. I got the great pleasure of seeing the Dallas Stars destroy the Coyotes. And that was the last night of Christmas break. Which meant it was time to say goodbye to Jessi and Brandon, as they were flying back to Dallas early Wednesday mourning, before I woke up. And it was time for me to go back to work in the morning. In conclusion, it was an excellent Xmas vacation.here to edit.
